Sheoni Givens, President of S. Givens & Associates started her consulting firm in 2013 in Kansas City, MO. The demand of the small business arena pushed her to create an avenue to lend her expertise to those who who had amazing talents and ideas, but lacked the business experience to push their business forward.
Originally, from Davenport, IA, Sheoni Givens has been a resident of Kansas City, MO for nearly 20 years. In those 20 years, she has created and fostered business relationships across the Kansas City community and across the United States with many business owners. These relationships were built on a lifetime of commitment to seeing that her efforts created opportunity and provided those without a chance, an opportunity to realize their dreams of being entrepreneurs and business owners. Sheoni is a firm believer of giving the best you can, whenever you can.
Ms. Givens has leveraged her 20+ years of experience to create a space where business owners can get advice, guidance, and even hands-on assistance. Ms. Givens has successfully assisted in launching successful businesses for many years, while assisting those already in business to excel and expand. With the culmination of a banking, finance, accounting, property management, lending, education, and real estate and development background, she has been able to assist companies from every walk of life.
As a huge advocate of community commitment, she has spent a large portion of her life giving back to community organizations, as well as, the broader community. As a co-owner of Transitions for Life, she dedicates her time energy to create a place where individuals who have fallen on hard times and become homeless, have a place they can call home while they get on their feet. Her primary passion of housing paved the way to her background in real estate, mortgage lending, and non-profit management.
Mrs. Givens has developed a way to assist for profit and non-profit businesses in strategy and growth development in order to increase productivity, longevity, and sustainability. The lack of internal controls by most small businesses requires time intensive set up and management that many businesses simply don’t have the time or the proper staffing to develop or implement. She understood this was detrimental to small business.
Since its’ inception, S. Givens & Associates has been dedicated to ensuring small business owners create process, policy, and procedure that allows them to grow, secure funding, and implement self-sustaining models.
